Before downloading, go beyond “Is it appropriate?” Look together at five things: the suggested age, ads or in-app purchases, who can communicate with the child, privacy settings, and the suitable time or place to use it. A child can explain why they want it; a parent can explain why the answer is yes, not yet, or no.
If you decide to try it, set a review time a few days later. The goal is to make digital choice a shared skill rather than a surprise conflict when a problem appears.
