Family growth plan

Before baby arrives: small agreements for the first weeks

A short plan that turns support into practical, repeatable agreements before the first weeks.

A calm first-week plan begins with agreements, not perfection. Pick one unhurried evening and name three things: who asks for help when depleted, what can wait, and what makes each person feel supported.

Revisit the list once a week without scoring anyone. Sleep, work and surprise visits will reshape the plan. The aim is to make “I need help” an ordinary family sentence, not an admission of failure.

Try this week: make a three-item “enough for today” list. Anything beyond it is a bonus, not a debt.
