Ages 6–8: a small morning routine without raising the volume

A two-week plan for a visible, workable morning routine without escalation.

Choose just three morning steps in a visible, fixed order: clothes, breakfast and bag, for example. Each step should be clear enough to start and realistic for the child to complete; leave adult-only work off the list.

For the first few days, begin the first step together and let your child return when it is done. Do not grade the morning or turn it into points. Later, ask one question: “Which step felt easier today?” Once the sequence settles, change only one part at a time.

Later with FamTodo: the three steps can become a “day journey” card without penalties or comparisons when a child gets stuck.
